About Me

(Cue the cheesy music.)This blog is not about me or my life. I write about what is important to me and what I observe when looking at the world we live in. Sometimes I do write things on a more personal level than others, but it is never directly about me, it is usually to get a point across about a bigger picture. For those of you who are put off by religion, I am not here to convert you. I don't care if you are Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Atheist, etc. I simply write what I write about because of the issues I face in converting to Islam, not from the religion, but from the false image it has been given by the media in the world today. If anything I wish to clarify misconceptions people have about Islam, to clean the slate of what has been deemed a "terrorist" religion, and to show people how beautiful Islam can be. I truly want to show people that there is a difference between what people do in the name of Islam and how it is when practiced the way our Prophet Muhamed taught us to practice it. And I want to do this by setting an example. I would like to believe that when people finish reading what I write, they carry it with them without judgment, not because I am religious or not religious, but because of what it means. When it comes down to it, we can all agree that there is value in every life-form regardless of where it comes from. We all come from the same source and we need to respect that source as well as each other. My goal is not to divide the religious and the secular, but to work together towards something we all believe in. Humanity.  I am very proud to say that I am an American  Muslim convert, and I hope to make the world a little bit better through awareness, patience, and understanding, speaking out against injustice, and being a voice for the voiceless, insha Allah (God willing).

Welcome to my blog.
